omigawd. this song.. so fucking gay (and i mean that in the best way imaginable). i had just graduated from high school and was clubbing in san francisco.. but a wee little reggie on an excursion from berkeley. my head freshly shaved, face mqde up to a tee.. feathered lashes and wearing my gold spice girl 14 inch platform boots. yes.. i was a club kid. i specifically remember this song playing at club universe.. which was essentially the studio 54 of the west coast. by an odd twist of events.. the owner of club universe is one of my dearest friends and colleagues. sometimes i still sing this song to myself when i’m getting ready to go out. shouldn’t we all? gurlfriend you look GOOD.
